The energy of the city keeps everybody up pretty late, especially people arriving from L.A ! It was a fun evening with Sophie and her friends, and Matisse was a very well behaved little boy.
Agathe turned out to be a very agreable and rather effective baby-sitter.We loved her. Now back in Paris, she is currently working very hard on weekends to pay back the monstruous phone bill she left. And the poor little crab in the beak of the seagull didn't make it : he really was trying his best to escape but he got dropped on a rock and that was it.
Lunch will be served in the incredibly colorful plastic picnic tableware that I love so much, everybody is ready, even Tic and Tac, the 2 chipmunks nesting nearby.
A postcard sent from Cape Cod to Verton (France) when I had time to do things like sewing a piece of painted fabric on cardboard... That was Before Kids. Anyway...More drawings to come in September.
As my friend Matthew puts it " if there is an animal I find totemic of our part of SoCal, it is the pelican." I agree, I will just add the opossum, rather exotic for me.
A postcard to welcome M&F, moving from Boston to L.A. It was for a new job oportunity of course, but everybody knows that life in California looks like perpetual vacations.
